More Stones.

At Boston 2005. Posted by Picasa

It seems the tour is successful. Their new CD comes out in a week. Today the Stones showed up in The 10 Spot from ESPN. Sports and Rock & Roll.

Next, football season, with the Stones being used in NFL promotions. It's only rock and roll but I like it.

No Rama and petunias.

Here Rama. Never mind. You're a cat. Posted by Picasa

This is a follow up to a June picture of my petunias. Most of the ones I potted have died. This one gets walked over every day; by myself, Clint, and Amy. And it still flourishes. June.

Lazy days of summer.

Finally it rained Posted by Picasa

Summer is going by too fast.

The local kids start school next monday. Preseason football has started. Our (Bears) quarterback is already out for the season. Looking forward to another great season. Yeah.

Anyway, today is Sunday. I have more Harry Potter to read.

By the way, I'm adding a late link to J-Walk Blog experiment. I was too busy to do it earlier. It's an interesting blog. It's worth checking out.

Glimmer twins.

From last tour. Posted by Picasa

Everywhere I turned today, the Stones were in the news.

Teaming up with the
NFL and ABC, bashing Bush with lyrics (in a song not even released yet), "You call yourself a Christian, I call you a hypocrite/You call yourself a patriot, well I think you're full of s***," showing up in a Terminator reference in the Obscure Store, performing Wednesday for fans in Toronto, and finally as a correction issued in Yahoo by Reuters:

What drought?

Sunflower. Posted by Picasa

This is the driest summer in years.

Most of the garden was a failure. Only one picking of
green beans and cucumbers. The broccoli was dry and
crumbly. But, there is still hope for my tomatoes. I just
picked a few cherry and jubilee tomatoes last weekend.
Tasty. I also have hope for the peppers though they look
like they are going to develop late.

Anyway, the biggest things in the garden have managed
to flourish. The sunflower are the best I've grown in years.
The birds should be happy.

More garden sunflowers. Posted by Picasa

Weekend with Harry.

Nice color coordination.

Even my water bottle matches. Sunday afternoons
are well spent reading Harry Potter. I'll be sad when
I'm done.
